Here’s a tip, make sure you’ve got your camera battery firmly installed in your camera when you’re heading to a famous landmark. Halfway to the bridge I tried to take a photo of a sweet house, only to realised i’d left my battery in the charge, which I had unplugged but never thought to put it back in the camera, so I had to use the iPhone. Rookie.

Today, we walked 18.6km in total, and my toes didn’t bleed for the first time. Needless to say we can barely walk now though.
So that was our day, walking to the bridge & back, but what a bridge. I’m terrified of two things, heights & the ocean. So I was a bit unsteady on the middle of the bridge as you could imagine, thankfully we didn’t see anyone jump off.
The walk back from the bridge was tough, needed to get to a souvenir shop at Fisherman’s Wharf so I could get my mits on something i’d been eyeing off. Was a good 5km walk and the conversations got a bit weird, but we made it. Then we had to hit the hills back to Post Street. Tough.
